Miley Cyrus has announced her first single in over three years will be released later this week and we can't wait!

Miley announced 'Malibu' with a photo on social media showing her relaxing in a turquoise car in front of a bright yellow house covered in decorations.

In a big departure from her number one hits of three years ago, 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball', Miley is expected to reveal a very different sound on Thursday.

Since announcing her single last week she has continued to post photos of herself on social media with a real summery vibe, including her walking through a field of wheat in a long white dress and posing by a 'Malibu' car wearing a cowboy hat and jeans.

Although it's been a few years since Miley's last music, she's been enjoying spending time with Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth, who she got back together with at the end of 2015. The couple now share loved-up photos with their dog Dora.

'Malibu' will drop on Thursday 11th May and we will be playing it as soon as it drops, so stay tuned.
