Rita Ora, Jess Glynne, Ella Eyre and OMI nominated for this year's MOBOs

The nominees for the annual MOBO Awards have been announced.

The nominees for the annual MOBO Awards have been announced.

Hip hop artists JME and Krept And Konan dominated the categories, however some more mainstream artists have also made it into the nominations, including Rita Ora and Jess Glynne.

Jess Glynne and Ella Eyre are up against each other in the MOBO Best Female Act while Rita Ora's video for 'Body On Me' has been nominated in the MOBO Best Video category against Stormzy, FKA Twigs and Lethal Bizzle.

Ella posted her excitement on Instagram saying "SOOO happy to be nominated for @moboawards Best Female Act"

OMI who broke through with 'Cheerleader' earlier this year has been nominated in the MOBO Best Reggae Act category and DJ/producer Mark Ronson has found himself nominated for MOBO Best Male Act and MOBO Best Song for 'Uptown Funk'.

This year the MOBOs which were founded by Kanya King (pictured above) will celebrate their 20th anniversary. The award ceremony will take place in Leeds in the First Direct Arena on the 4th November and voting is currently open to the public to choose their favourite acts.
