Fans of EDM were left utterly bereft four years ago when Swedish House Mafia announced they were splitting up. The group - made up of DJs Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso - were pioneers of the genre, and their fans were devastated over the end of the group in 2013.

However, the group - known for huge hits such as 'Don't You Worry Child' and 'Miami 2 Ibiza' reunited for a live stream on their social media profiles today, revealing that they're reforming for a brand new show in their home country of Sweden AND will be releasing new music together!

The reunion show will take place in the Swedish capital Stockholm on Saturday 4th May 2019.

The three DJs, who formed the group in 2008, reunited earlier this year for a performance at a music festival, after which posters began popping up all over Stockholm and a countdown clock was set up on their website - which we now know was counting down to this morning's announcement (22nd Oct).

In a hilarious twist of events, non-Swedish-speaking fans of the group were frantically left trying to translate the live stream, as it was - of course - announced entirely in Swedish.

One tweeted, 'So after watching Swedish House Mafia talk in Swedish for 25 minutes, I still don’t know what’s going on,' as another added, 'I don’t speak Swedish!'

Obviously, they worked out what was going on, and many expressed their joy on the microblogging site, with one fan posting, 'I’m real life crying over this Swedish House Mafia reunion omg happiest ever!!! I’ve been waiting for this day for YEARS.'
