What a weekend it's been here at Hits Radio with our sell out Hits Live gigs taking place in Liverpool and Birmingham. Our Birmingham line-up was filled to the brim with the likes of Anne-Marie, Tom Grennan, Becky Hill, Dermot Kennedy, Years & Years, James Arthur, KSI, and Rag’n’Bone Man, and The Wanted, who joined us backstage.

Jordan Lee caught up with the 'Chasing the Sun' singers, where they talked about their hiatus, their 'obscene' group chat, who they'd like to collab with, and their unusual way of 'making' friends.

Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes revealed to Jordan that often they do this gigs and realise that everyone else knows each other, but they don't. Because of this, they decided to start saying hello to everyone, and making a point of visiting their dressing rooms, but as Siva revealed, it all got a bit awkward in Sigrid's dressing room.

"So, I went to knock on Sigrid's dressing room and the door was open and her staff were there," Siva explained. "I said 'Hey, is Sigrid here?' and they said 'Yeah, she's in the shower' and I went 'Alright', and I walked towards the shower, and they all freaked out and I was like 'I'm only kidding'.

"It's a tough joke to swallow that one, isn't it? A little bit. I think that dudes gonna go open the bathroom. This is what happens when you try and socialise." Oh Siv! 🙈

The boys also revealed to Jordan that they have an obscene group chat: "It's called The Actual Wanted, because you've got so many Wanted related groups," they explained.

Going on to admit if they let us see it, "We wouldn't have a career anymore."

With a line-up including big names such as Anne-Marie, Becky Hill and many more, Jordan also pressed The Wanted on who they'd like to collab with. The band, who admitted they hadn't really collaborated with anyone said: "I think we all love Anne-Marie and Becky Hill. We feel like they're in our bracket. But yeah, obviously way better. So, who knows?"

Next year Hits Live will have THREE incredible shows as we head to Liverpool on the 20th May 2022, Manchester on the 11th November 2022 and Birmingham on the 12th November 2022.
