Love Island 2019: Meet dumped pharmacist Anna Vakili

Love Island 2019 is so very nearly over that we can barely contain our grief. The original 12 contestants have been whittled down to a mixture of 10 originals and bombshells left in the villa, and there are mere DAYS left before we discover who will be crowned King and Queen of the Love Island villa in the final next Monday (29th July).

Pharmacist Anna Vakili was an OG villa entrant, and although she didn't have the best of starts - coupling up with Sherif Lanre who was 'kicked out' in the first couple of weeks for 'breaking the Love Island rules'.

However, after bombshell Jordan Hames entered the villa with the intention of pursuing her, things were looking good for the couple, who became boyfriend and girlfriend in the penultimate week of the show.

Unfortunately, Jordan decided to pursue India Reynolds just days after they made things official, and they broke up and were dumped from the villa on Wednesday 24th July.

Anna Vakili is a pharmacist and was a contestant on Love Island 2019.

Explaining her best and worst traits, Anna said, "My best personality traits are that I’m very kind and emotional, I don’t like to see anyone hurt. I’m honest and I say it how it is to people and to their face. I’m affectionate, I love hugs and kisses, especially with a guy.

"But I’m difficult to handle, I’m a drama queen and I overreact. I’m clumsy and I’m a messy eater. I spill my drinks all the time. I’m stubborn as well, if I’m in a mood then it’s really hard to get me out of the mood."

And when rating her looks, said, "I would rate myself an eight. My best feature is my eyes, I get compliments on my eyes a lot. I wish I had a penny for every time I’ve had a compliment on my eyes!"

Anna's original Love Island couple was with Sherif Lanre, but he got 'kicked off' the show early on for breaking the rules - and although we don't know which rule he broke, Sherif did apologise for his actions after he left the villa.

When bombshell Jordan Hames entered the villa in the hope of coupling up with Anna, he was happy to find that she chose to couple up with him. However, after the infamous Casa Amor week, she decided to go for Ovie Soko.

But there was no spark with Ovie, and when Jordan didn't couple up with anyone from Casa Amor, the pair decided to couple up again. Although Anna and Jordan were happy for a few weeks, and made things official in the second-to-last week of Love Island 2019 to become boyfriend and girlfriend, Jordan's head was turned at the last minute to India Reynolds.

After he approached her for a chat - before speaking to Anna - things did not go down very well between the pair, and Anna's sister Mandi Vakili took to social media to brutally slam Jordan. They broke up immediately after, and were dumped from the villa on Wednesday 24th July.

What did Anna Vakili have to say after being dumped from the villa?

In her exit interview, Anna did not hold back! There was an incredibly awkward exit interview between Anna and Jordan which left fans cringing, but she also gave a second interview. When asked if she had any regrets, Anna said, "Absolutely not. I have no regrets with who I coupled up with.

"With Ovie, I just didn’t fancy him in that way. I can appreciate that he is a good-looking guy but when I got to know him a bit better and I spent more time with him, I just wasn’t attracted to him. Our personalities just didn’t match."

She also revealed how she feels about Jordan now, "I’m so disappointed in him and I’m hurt by him. I’m shocked. I don’t have anger towards him, if anything I feel sorry for him."

Over to you, Anna. "I have to trust someone to be in a relationship with them but once I am, I am really loyal. I haven’t been cheated on as far as I know. I don’t think a guy can get away with cheating on me, I’ll stalk them!

"Since the age of seventeen I’ve been in serious relationship after serious relationship. I’ve been single for nine months now and this is the longest I’ve been single."

How did Anna Vakili describe herself before entering the villa?

Describing herself and why she's a good casting for Love Island, Anna said, "I think I’m different to anyone who has been on the show before. I have the whole glam look, I’m fun but at the same time I feel like I have more to me than that. I studied hard and I’ve got my masters. I’m a pharmacist and I have a Middle Eastern background."

When asked how far she'd be willing to go to get a guy, she said, "I wouldn’t fight to get a guy, I’ll just be myself. The right guy will want me without me having to go far for him. Once I’ve got the guy and he likes me, I’ll go far to make him happy."

And what about girl code? "This is really difficult because the island isn’t a normal place, the real world is different. I don’t know how close I can get to a girl in a few weeks. If a guy likes me, I’m there for love at the end of the day, not girls.

"I definitely would talk to the girl first even if the girl isn’t my girlfriend or if I don’t like the girl. I would always talk to her first. But if the girl was my close friend then I wouldn’t go near her guy."

She said, "I ended up on the Iranian News earlier this year when my sister and I were away in Qatar with two Iranian footballers who have a huge following. Suddenly my followers went up by 20,000 and I started being tagged in fan pages!"

But she also once met Love Island 2017 winner Kem Cetinay whilst on holiday in Dubai, revealing that she's actually super clumsy, "He was with his really hot cousin and I was chatting to him and I slipped and fell straight down in front of them."

Turns out her clumsiness has been a bit of a hindrance for her romantic life when describing her most disastrous date, "I walked into a glass door as I was walking into the restaurant with a date. I banged my head and everyone in the restaurant looked.

"My date was walking behind me. He was laughing throughout most of the date. It was so painful and embarrassing."
