The Coronation Street cast have been pictured on set for the first time since filming was halted back in March, due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The soap-stars can be seen adhering to social distancing rules, as they return to set for the first time in 11 weeks.

In a video shared on Corrie's Twitter, the cast discuss how they feel about returning to the Street and seeing their co-stars. Information packs have been given to all members of the team, with the set keeping to a one-way system.

Fans were overjoyed last week when it was announced that Corrie was returning to production. In a video the soap shared to their Twitter, it appears the cast are as equally as excited, with Sally Dynevor, who plays Sally Webster, saying, "I walked in I felt like a bit of a child, I was like so excited to see everyone and talk to everybody."

Sadly, the older and more vulnerable members of the cast won't have a physical presence on the cobbles for the time being. Head of Continuing Drama on ITV, John Whiston, says that there may potentially be plot lines involving Zoom and Skype interviews, allowing these characters to be involved and reflect real-life.

Check out next week's spoilers...

Carla doesn't remember Chelsey but is reminded that she stayed with her at a squat during her breakdown last year and now owes her a grand.

Later on, Chelsey returns with a man called Jordan who ran the squat and threatens to tell Peter everything unless Carla pays up.

When Peter finds Carla and Jordan together he demands to know what's going on, and Carla lies and says he's enquiring about a room. Peter escorts Jordan out and Carla tells Peter the truth about owing them money.

Elsewhere, tensions between Sally and Geoff are worsening when Sally pointedly refuses to sit with him and Tim at the pub.

Later on, Geoff 'accidentally' lets slip to Faye that he's sure that Sally kicked him out of the house because she's chosen to believe Yasmeen's lies over family loyalty.

Alya confides in Imran that she believes that Sally kicked Geoff out because deep down she knows that Yasmeen is innocent and is telling the truth about Geoff.

Faye vows to have words with Sally and Tim and tells them she's appalled that they're turning their backs on Geoff and that's she's moving in with him to show her support.

With Faye and Geoff out of the house, Tim is furious with Sally for separating their family but Sally refuses to back down, believing she's done the right thing.

Meanwhile at the café, Roy tells an excited David that it's been confirmed that Shona will come to live with him but worries that David seems to take it as confirmation they'll be getting back together.

Later on David drops some of Shona's belongings over to Roy in anticipation of her return to Weatherfield and a concerned Roy sees he's filled with optimism.

Meanwhile, Daniel is still struggling to process his grief and everyone is worried about him as he locks himself away with Bertie pining for Sinead.

Wanting to help, Adam invites Daniel as a guest to a fancy lawyers' drinks reception in town and is pleased when a colleague, Nicky, makes Daniel feel welcome.

Adam watches from afar as Nicky and Daniel get on like a house on fire and when Nicky suggests moving the night on, Daniel decides to take a chance and agrees.

Corrie has stripped back to three single episodes a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:30pm on ITV.
