Love Island 2018 winner Dani Dyer, daughter of EastEnders legend Mick Carter AKA Danny Dyer, has confessed that she was turned down for a role on the BBC soap - despite the fact that her dad plays one of the biggest characters on the show at the moment.

Dani's admitted that she auditioned for a part on EastEnders but was turned down as, she believes, soap fans would have been outraged if she got the part.

Dani told the Daily Star Sunday, "They wouldn’t let me in it EastEnders. They won’t let me, and are like, ‘It ain’t going to happen’.

“I think it’s because my dad is already on it so if I went on it there would be a massive outrage."

Series One: Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison

The only surviving couple from Love Island series one is Cally Jane Beech and Luis Morrison.

After finding love on the show, Cally and Luis announced they were expecting their first child together and later welcomed their daughter Vienna Morrison-Beech.

Fingers crossed show bosses might change their minds and get her on, but if the BBC soap doesn't come a-knocking, Dani could always go over to the dark side (ITV) as Loose Women are apparently desperate to sign her up.

According to Metro.co.uk, the all-female panel talk show have got their eye on Dani, with a TV source saying that she'd be "the perfect addition" as she's "feisty and isn’t afraid to speak her mind, or say what other people might be scared to."

People behind the scenes at Loose Women have drawn comparisons between Dani and current panellist Stacey Solomon, and added that "having her on board would be a real hit with the audience."
