There's going to be another Gavin and Stacey reunion! The TV show, which was on between 2007 - 2010, captured the hearts of pretty much every single person in the country, and many have been desperate to know what Gavin and Stacey et al have been up to in the last 10 years.

Thankfully, we'll be finding out later this year, as co-creator James Corden has revealed that there'll be a new Gavin and Stacey Christmas Special at the end of this year! Taking to Instagram, James shared a photo of a script entitled 'Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special 2019'.

He wrote, 'Ruth Jones and I have been keeping this secret for a while... We’re excited to share it with you. See you on Christmas Day @BBCOne #GavinandStacey.'

Fans were, of course, over the moon at the news, and the post has had almost 210,000 likes and over 16,000 comments in just one hour. James then took to Twitter to release a joint statement with co-creator Ruth Jones, which read, 'Over the last ten years we’ve talked a lot about Gavin and Stacey - where they might be today and what their lives might look like.

'And so in secret we took the plunge and wrote this one hour special. We’ve loved revisiting Barry and Essex again and bringing the characters back together has been a joy. We’re so excited to get the chance to work with our fabulous cast and crew once more and to give fans of the show a festive treat this Christmas. Thank you BBC for helping to make this happen.'
