And in last night's episode of The Great British Bake Off (18th Sept), viewers were left scratching their heads after the show appeared to suffer from an editing fail, as it looked as though the ending of the show was being shown before viewers had seen the end of the challenge.

In the episode, which was Dessert Week, the contestants were challenged to first make a roulade and the blind bake challenge was to make blancmange and langues de chat biscuits. The signature bake then saw them create chocolate domes and hot sauce to melt the ball and reveal a delicious cake inside.

As Terry was poorly that week, all the contestants agreed that it would be ok for him to go through automatically, which meant that it was down to the remaining eight to prove their baking prowess.

HOWEVER. During the showstopper reveals, there was a glitch where the programme showed presenter Sandi Toksvig head towards Rahul, leading many to believe that he'd won Star Baker once again.

In the same moment, Paul Hollywood appeared to be walking towards Karen and Briony - who both suffered disastrous weeks - which gave the impression one of them would be going home.

But this weird editing fail was just a glitch, because DAN was the recipient of that week's Star Baker, and Paul and Prue Leith decided that NO-ONE would go home as Terry hadn't been there - but warned TWO people could leave next week.

Viewers were baffled by the fail.

The Great British Bake Off returns Tuesday 25th Sept on Channel 4 at 8pm.
