I'm A Celebrity camp invaded by 'deadly lizard' 😱

Sounds scary!

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here has been on our TV screens since 2002 and over the years, the camp has had its fair share of unwanted visitors (and no, we aren't talking about Gillian McKeith 🙈 - Only joking!) We actually mean poisonous snakes, rats and all of the other creepy crawlies that find their way into the camp mate's belongings.

Whilst the I'm A Celebrity safety team have done a grand job of keeping the poisonous visitors out of camp over the years, it sounds like the 2019 contestants had a VERY lucky escape last week.

Speaking on today's episode of This Morning, former contestant Alison Hammond revealed a deadly Goanna had found its way into the camp over the weekend.

She told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that the monitor lizard was caught by Medic Bob as it was wandering around the celebrities' bags. She said, "Talking of goannas, but I don't know if you know, while the celebs were doing a live trial on Sunday this goanna went into camp. Invaded the camp.

"If you get bit by one of the it potentially fatal. Their tails are like razors. They can take your skin off."

Luckily for the camp mates, nobody was at danger as they were all out of camp at Sunday night's live Love Island trial.
