Whilst fans are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Stranger Things season 3, it has recently emerged that some Stranger Things books will be released later this year and early next year. According to Deadline, we can expect to see a behind-the-scenes companion and a hardcover gift book for younger readers in the autumn, whilst early next year will get to see a prequel novel.

It is currently being reported that the prequel novel will follow Eleven's mother and the MKUltra programme, however the full plot of the novel isn't known at present.

Stranger Things first hit our TV screens back in the summer of 2016 and quickly captured the attention of Netflix viewers. In the first season we were introduced to a group of young boys who live in a small, fictional town called Hawkins, Indiana. Set in the 1980s the first season centres around a young boy called Will Byers who goes missing.

Then, in the second season, set in October 1984, Will has finally been rescued. However, not many details are known about the events surrounding his disappearance and his friends soon realise that Will is still being influenced by the Upside Down (the dimension which captured him). Meanwhile, the young girl introduced in the first season, Eleven, leaves the small town to find out more about her powers.
