Join us for one of the award-winning bay walks from Arnside to Grange over Sands on Sunday 5th May 2024. A walk across the biggest expanse of tidal mudflats and sand in the UK.

The walk from Arnside is a lovely walk with a varied terrain and is between 5.5 to 7.5 miles depending on the safest route.

Starting off at Arnside Promenade, our Guide Michael will lead our walking group to the picturesque village of Grange-over-Sands. This walk can be challenging, so expect various weather conditions and maybe even a 50 meter wade through water up to 2ft in depth. So will need to be prepared to get your feet, ankles and legs wet.

Tickets are priced at £15 for each walking place.

The money raised from this event will be going towards Cash for Kids Day 2024 – our charity would like to alleviate food poverty and will be specifically raising money for Holiday Hunger.

Important Information before registering:

Walk starts at 3.30pm but you will need to arrive earlier for registration.

Please come and register on arrival from 3pm. You will be offered a branded Cash for Kids t-shirt to wear. Please arrive in plenty of time as once the briefing has started no one can be added to the walk or tag along behind.

Unfortunately, we cannot give you an exact duration of the walk – it will depend on what is the safest route on the day. We have been advised that it can take between 2-4 hours.

You must be able to walk at least 8 miles at ease.

Dogs are welcome but they must be on the lead and under control at all times.

All children on the walk MUST walk with an adult for their own safety.

Please do consider the possible depth of water to cross for small children and your dogs. (we want everyone to have a good time and be safe).

Toilets are only available at the start and finish of the walk. The toilets are chargeable using a contactless method to the sum of 30p.

The quickest way to get between the start and finish points of the walk is by train. We recommend parking at either the start or finish point and using the train. All walkers are responsible for getting themselves to the start point and then from the finish point back to their transport/cars.
