Man dies after car crashes into bus shelter and wall in Preston

A man has died after the car he was driving crashed into a bus shelter in Preston.

Emergency services were called to Preston Road, Grimsargh, at around 6.30pm yesterday, after reports of a crash involving a Mazda.

The driver, a man in his 60s, was rushed to hospital. He later passed away.

Police say his family have now been informed, and an investigation is underway.

Sgt Michael Higginson, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “Very sadly a man has died, and I would appeal for anyone who saw what happened or who has any information to come forward and contact us.”
