Merseyside Police are asking for the community's help to tackle serious and organised crime in Liverpool.

Residents, business owners and community groups are being invited to an online meeting between 6pm and 7pm this evening (Thursday 14 March), hosted by the Community Advisory Group (CAG).

Neighbourhood Inspector Kieron Hogan said:

"It is vital that members of the community join us and use their voice to help us tackle serious and organised crime in their area.

"Tell us what you think the problems are"

"If you live here or run a business or local community group in the area we need you to tell us where you think the problems are and where we should focus our resources.

"We are here to help the community feel safe and we will always put the needs of the community first but in order to do that we need more people to get involved in having open discussions about what worries them, what their neighbourhood priorities are and how we can work together to make their community safer."

The Liverpool CAG area covers the wards of Allerton, Hunts Cross, Anfield, Belle Vale, Central Liverpool, Childwall, Church, Clubmoor, County, Cressington, Croxteth, Everton, Walton, Fazakerley, Greenbank, Kensington and Fairfield, Kirkdale, Knotty Ash, Mossley Hill, Norris Green, Old Swan, Picton, Princes Park, Riverside, Aigburth, City Centre, Dingle and Toxteth, Sefton Park, Speke-Garston, St Michaels, Tuebrook and Stoneycroft, Warbreck, Dovecot, Wavertree, West Derby, Woolton, Gateacre, Netherley and Yew Tree.

People interested in joining the meeting are asked to email Liverpool.CAG@merseyside.police.uk
