On your marks for the 2017 Asda Foundation Bury 10K

Over 1,000 runners are expected on the start line when the Asda Foundation Bury 10K makes a welcome return on Sunday September 17th.

Key 103 will be returning to host the event along with a little help from our partners Village Hotel Bury and cartime.

After a successful debut last year, we along with enthusiastic spectators hope to create a fantastic atmosphere once again as participants aim raise tens of thousands of pounds for good causes. The 2017 event promises to be even bigger and better.

Starting and finishing outside The Rock, the route is suitable for runners of all abilities and takes in some of the town’s best-loved landmarks including Bury Town Hall, Bury Parish Church and the Fusilier Museum.

A popular feature of the day’s fun is sure to be the Arena Group Family Fun Run, which covers 1.4K and is free to youngsters aged 3-14. All finishers receive a goody bag and medal.

cartime will be leading the race. With over 700 prestige cars on display they're one of the largest used car dealerships in Manchester and will provide the lead car with the all important runners clock on top. The cartime team will be running the race too and there's your chance to meet cartime Tim and have your photo taken with a beautiful Ferrari.

The Asda Foundation Bury 10K is organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All in partnership with I Will If You Will (IWIYW), a fitness movement in Bury which helps women, girls and their families to be more active more often. The initiative is delivered by Bury Council with Lottery funds from Sport England.

Anyone aged 15 and over can enter the new Bury 10K and entries are open now so book your place today.

The Village Hotel, Bury is supporting the race and it's runners from start to finish. Whether you're taking part or spectating, meet your friends and family at the hotel and enjoy free parking all day, it's just a short walk to the start/finish line. Bring your medal into the bar afterwards for exclusive runners discount - £2 for a glass of prosecco or pint of Bud Light and a FREE ice-cream for the kids.
