Manchester was transformed in a circus on August Bank Holiday as the city came together to celebrate Pride.
More people than ever took part in the parade which marched through the city. Hits Radio is proud to have been on of the hundreds of colourful floats that took to the streets on Saturday 25th August.

Across the Manchester Pride Big Weekend there were amazing performances from Jake Shears, Rita Ora and Sigala to name just a few.
We were down there all weekend broadcasting live to bring Hits Radio listeners close to the action.
The weekend concluded with an uplifting and emotional candlelit Vigil to remember those who may not be with us thousands of people gathered together to form a united front against the challenges the LGBT+ community still face in the world today.
Manchester Pride has confirmed its annual August bank holiday festival will go ahead in 2019 but will look and feel radically different to previous years. We look forward to finding out more and get our rainbow flags ready to celebrate with Manchester's LGBT+ community once again.
