M62 partially closed after crash near Rochdale
Drivers are being urged to avoid the eastbound M62 from Greater Manchester into West Yorkshire following a serious collision earlier today.
The incident happened between junction 21 and junction 22 of the motorway at about 6.30am when 2 lorries were involved in a collision.
Only lane 4 of the eastbound carriageway is currently open and drivers are being urged to avoid the area by delaying journeys or seeking alternative routes.
The westbound carriageway was closed briefly to allow an air ambulance to land but has now re-opened.
