Man dies in house fire in Oldham
Police investigate how it started
A man's died in a house fire in Oldham.
Police were called to Nazeby Walk in Werneth just before 1pm this afternoon (Thursday 5th July).
The man in his 50s was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
A joint investigation with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service has been launched to understand the circumstances behind the fire.
A number of road closures and police cordons have been put in place while enquiries are carried out.
