Man sentenced after causing death of Northumberland teens by dangerous driving

Garry Robinson, 44, has been sentenced to 18 years in prison at Newcastle Crown Court after causing the death of two Blyth teenagers.

Connor Lapworth, 18, and Corey Mavin, 15, both died in a crash in Cramlington just days before Christmas last year.

The three-vehicle collision happened on the A192 Hartford Bank in Cramlington on the 22nd December.

Robinson plead guilty to causing their death as well as causing serious injury to two others by dangerous driving.

Another teenager in the same car as Connor and Corey, and a 36-year-old woman in a third car were left with serious injuries, but later discharged from hospital.
