Pedestrian dies in Doncaster one-car crash

A 68-year-old woman has died in a crash in Doncaster.

South Yorkshire Police have launched an appeal for information and CCTV footage following the incident at just after 4pm in Armthorpe yesterday afternoon (March 16) - involving a car and a pedestrian.

The driver of the blue Nissan Cube remained at the scene on Cranfield Close and is helping officers with their enquiries after the pedestrian died at the scene, despite the best efforts of the emergency services.

In a statement, South Yorkshire Police said: "We are asking for any witnesses to the collision or anyone in the area at the time of the collision with CCTV or dashcam footage to come forward.

"You can report information to us online, via live chat or by calling 101 quoting incident number 651 of 16 March when you get in touch.

"You can access our online portal here. Dash cam footage can be submitted to enquiries@southyorks.pnn.police.uk.

"Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously via independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or online."
