A fire at a popular Hampshire pub is thought to have been caused by an electrical fault in a tumble drier, according to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service.

Fire crews were called to The Osborne View at Hill Head near Fareham at about 2.30am on Thursday.

Investigators have been picking through the charred remains.

A spokesperson said: "Fire investigation officers attended the scene yesterday for an initial look into the cause.
