Darlington man dies following an industrial accident in Ripon

Police have confirmed that a man has died following an industrial accident in Ripon.

Officers were called to a vehicle recovery garage on Boroughbridge Road last Friday (29 March 2024).

It happened at around 8am and resulted in the death of a man aged in his 30s from the Darlington area.

He was pronounced dead the scene and his family have been informed and are being supported by the police.

Ambulance, air ambulance, fire and police teams were all in attendance.

North Yorkshire Police are now assisting the accident investigation led by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
