Teenager taken to hospital after being hit by car in Wakefield

A teenager has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Wakefield.
The boy - a 13-year-old - was walking along Asdale Road when the crash happened.
Emergency services were called at around 08:25BST on Thursday April 18.
Police described his injuries as "serious" and the road was closed while investigations took place.
