Are you ready kids….?

Corey Taylor has made some amazing guest appearances with everyone from Soulfly and Zakk Wylde to Travis Barker and Steel Panther.

But it turns out the collaboration we didn’t know we were waiting for was with SpongeBob SquarePants voice actor Tom Kenny – who voices the titular character and also sang the original theme song.

The Slipknot frontman was invited onstage to sing the SpongeBob theme with Kenny at the Huntington Comic And Toy Convention in West Virginia.

Taylor has previously performed the song at his solo shows but this one was a little bit different.

“This is the most nervous I’ve ever been in my whole career,” Taylor laughed, before asking the crowd the immortal line: “Are you ready kids?”

And few sights are more joyous than the 49-year-old singer of one of the world’s biggest metal bands looking slightly starstruck as he belts out the theme song from a kids’ cartoon in a Mercyful Fate shirt.

Nautical nonsense at its absolute finest!
