In recent week, rumours have been flying around that new music from Jay-Z is on it’s way.

It all started when Jay-Z’s long time collaborator Swizz Beats, shared a picture of the two of them with the caption ‘They don’t even know what’s about to happen. Album ModeZone’

Then Jay was spotted in Jamaica with producer Damian Marley, with Marley confirming the pair had been in the studio working on music together.

Now the man himself has announced a new album is coming! And there’s not long to wait! Jay-Z has announced ‘4:44’ is coming on 30th June via his streaming service Tidal. Jay’s shared a snippet of forthcoming album track ‘Adnis’.

Hardcore Carter’s fans will be aware of the couple’s long running association with the number 4. They married on the 4th April (the fourth month), their birthdays are the 4th September and 4th December, Beyonce’s released an album titled ‘4’ and their daughter’s name Blue Ivy contains the roman numerals for 4. That’s a whole lot of fours!

Plus it’s been four years since Jay-Z’s most recent album release ‘Magna Carta… Holy Grail’.
