Its almost the Celebrate Aberdeen weekend!

Author: Lauren MitchellPublished 24th Aug 2022

Celebrate Aberdeen is a group of friends who have come together as volunteers to shine the light on the best people and organisations that Aberdeen has to offer.

The parade will be starting from Alford Place before it makes its way down Union Street towards Castlegate. Its free to attend and it starts at 11am on the 27th August 2022.

We want you to join us in celebrating everything that is fantastic about our city and of course, celebrate YOU!

1. You'll help to support the fantastic people taking part in the parade

Its a chance to cheer on the people you know and also the people you don't. It feels good when everyone comes together for an event!

2. You'll learn more about the charities in our area and how to support them

There may be a few charities you've never seen or heard of before. It's a good chance to learn about and support local charities and local people right here in the North-east of Scotland.

3. You'll be a part of the biggest parade in the city

The event is huge and has been for 10 years now! It is a great way to shine a light on the wonderful people we have right here in our city. The parade is the biggest one in the city so you might as well be a part of it!

4. It hasn't happened in over 2 years and it'll be back with a BANG!

Obviously, a lot of things have been cancelled over the last few years so it is always good to have people back together again.

5. Its free and all of the family are invited!

Whether you want to take your partner, your kids or your parents...anyone is welcome to come to Celebrate Aberdeen. The more the merrier!

We'll see you on Saturday 27th August at 11am on Union Street.
