Missing teenager last seen in River Ugie near Peterhead

Police are asking people to stay away from the Inverugie area while the search for 16-year-old Bryce Grant continues

Police say a teenager reported missing from the Peterhead area was last seen in the River Ugie at 5pm on Thursday, 28 April.

Officers have released a statement asking the public to stay away from the area while the search for 16-year-old Bryce Grant continues.

North East Police said via Twitter: "We are continuing to search for missing 16-year-old Bryce Grant k/a Forbes. Last seen in the River Ugie 5pm Thur 28 April.

"We would ask the public to stay away from the area whilst searching is carried out to ensure we are not hindered in any way. Thanks for you patience."

Search for missing teenager continues

Bryce is described as 5’ 8” in height, slim build with dark hair, longer at the top, with short sides. It is unknown what Bryce is wearing.

Inspector Sharp of Peterhead Police Office said : “We will commence searching again this morning in the area effort to trace Bryce.

"Officers will be assisted by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Coastguard and we would ask that members of the public to stay away from the area whilst searching is carried out to ensure we are not hindered in any way.

“I would like to thank the public for their patience in this matter. We are keeping Bryce’s family fully updated on our activity.”

If anyone has seen Bryce they are urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3535 of 28th April.
