The follow-up to the fiery ‘Heartland’ single and the second offshoot from the Shakedown’s critically-lauded self-titled album, ‘Backfire’ is a gloriously scuzzy rock n’ roll anthem of the highest calibre.

Directed by Erik Kaufmann, the accompanying no-nonsense video sees Tyler and co. belt out the song in a red neon-lit room. Cast your eyes on it here:

Tyler says of the song: “‘Backfire’ is a straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll jam, so we thought it needed a straight-ahead rock ‘n’ roll video.

“There’s no acting, no storyline, just rocking! We kicked around a ton of ideas playing off the lyrics of the song, but eventually we decided to do what we do best – plug in and play. We hope this video captures the kind of energy you’d experience at a Shakedown show.”

One of the zeniths of Planet Rockstock last December, TBSD are playing a plethora of North American dates with their fellow Georgia natives Blackberry Smoke throughout the spring alongside their own headline shows.

The band are also nominated for two prestigious gongs at Planet Rock’s The Rocks 2018 – Best New Band and Best International Album – where they’re going head-to-head with the likes of Foo Fighters, Alice Cooper, Europe, Stone Sour, The Cadillac Three and Sons of Apollo.
