Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde win their first Grammy Award

Some of the biggest names in Country Music were honoured in Los Angeles on Sunday 5 February for the 2023 Grammy Awards.
Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde won their first ever award for Best Country Duo / Group Performance for ‘Never Wanted To Be That Girl’.
Writing on Instagram, Pearce said: “Wrote a real Country song with my friend and we won our first Grammy. I have no words. Zero. None. More later. I love you Ashley McBryde.”
Cody Johnson won Best Country Song for ‘’Til You Can’t’, an award which is given to the songwriters. Country Music legend,
Willie Nelson, took home Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album with Shania Twain accepting the award on his behalf.
Taylor Swift won Best Music Video for ‘All Too Well: A Short Film’ – a song that featured on her rerecording of ‘Red (Taylor’s Verson)’.
During the TV broadcast, Luke Combs delivered a performance of ‘Going, Going, Gone’, his current single from his album ‘Growin’ Up’. While Kacey Musgraves delivered a heartfelt tribute to the late Loretta Lynn, performing ‘Coalminer’s Daughter’.
Sheryl Crow, Mick Fleetwood and Bonnie Raitt also took to the stage to perform ‘Songbird’ in honour of Christine McVie.
