Given the title of Carrie Underwood's new album - Denim and Rhinestones - you might think that Carrie's too fancy to do the dirty work. But you couldn't be more wrong.

A huge animal lover, Carrie’s back yard is basically like a mini safari park. She had to get a snake out of her garage one time and most recently, there was an incident with an Armadillo.

“We live in the country. So I will help anything, I’ll stop and help a turtle across the road and I don’t even like turtles. They freak me out. We had an armadillo, something was clearly wrong with it, it should not have been by our house in the middle of the day. The thing was probably rabid, I don’t know."

If you caught her Instagram story, you saw her son Isaiah's hilarious commentary as she attempted to help the armadillo into the crate. "Mom, he doesn't know what a crate is. I don't think he likes it." He told her while filming the whole debacle.

Carrie had clearly enlisted her son's help after her husband, Mike Fisher had a very different idea about how to handle the situation.

"I called my husband who was on the tractor cutting hay - making us sound super country - I said there’s an armadillo by the house, and he was like, I’ll take care of it. I knew what he meant, I didn’t want him to kill it. I needed him to help me get it."

"He was like what are you going to do with it. And I was like, I’ll take it to the wildlife rehab place. He was like, they’re not going to take it! And I was like I donate money to them every year they are going to take my armadillo. I’m not any trouble. I've only taken one bird there once. I called them and they were very willing to help. I was like I don’t even know why I called you! click."

"I called my dad and was like, can an armadillo bite me and he said no, I’ve seen one but who has to mess with one? I said, can it hurt me, and he said, they have claws but I don’t know if they use to them hurt. They’re really gross. It sadly did not make it, I think it had some head trauma. I named him Pickles. He stunk up our garage. They smell terrible.”

Sadly, Pickles' injuries must have been too much and the armadillo passed away. RIP Pickles.
