I can’t hear you!

That’s not technically a question but we’ll answer it anyway. If you are having trouble listening through our online player, we recommend running through our handy checklist to see if you can identify the problem. If this doesn’t get you listening, it will provide us with a bit more information to try to help you.

Check that your computer or amplifier is not set to ‘mute’ and that the volume is turned up. If you are not sure, see if you can hear system sounds or audio from other applications.

If you are using external speakers or headphones, check that they are working and plugged in correctly.

If you are still experiencing problems, send us an email by selecting either the 'I can't listen online' or 'Radio transmitter engineers' depending on whether you're trying to listen online or on radio.

In order for us to help you as quickly as possible, your email should explain what you are seeing on your screen, including any error messages. It also helps us if you include information about the type of computer you are using, the operating system and web browser.

I can't hear Absolute Radio on FM in London anymore. What's happened?

Sadly, we're not broadcasting on FM in London anymore. You can still find us on DAB, in the free Absolute Radio App or online. If you want help on how to listen to Absolute Radio in your car now, check out our Ways To Listen page.

I only have FM radio in my car, how can I still listen to Absolute Radio?

Great news, with a low-cost DAB converter or adapter you'll still be able to listen to us in your car. You can also listen to all our other stations in the Absolute Radio family too.

You can also download the Absolute Radio App on your phone and connect to us via Bluetooth or USB connector.

Just type in 'Absolute Radio' into your app store on your phone and you can download the App for free.

Can I listen on my mobile phone?

Yes! Well, not if it’s one of those bricks that businessmen from the 80s lugged about. But if it’s a smartphone, have a look at our free app.

Why can I no longer listen to Absolute Radio on AM?

We think we sound better on digital, as it offers a much stronger signal and cuts out background noise.

Lots of you agree, which is why nearly all our audience listen to us digitally. Broadcasting on AM requires running an additional transmitter which is environmentally unfriendly and not cost-efficient given the small numbers of those listening here. There are lots of other ways you can listen to us - read all the details here.

Why do you always repeat the same songs?

Wow, you must listen to us a lot – thanks! We actually play more unique songs than most radio stations out there and we're the only UK radio station with the No Repeat Guarantee, which means you won't hear the same song repeated from 9am - 5pm.

So the closest you're likely to hear 1 song repeated across your work day is about 8 hours apart. That's bearable, right?

Please note, due to the way in which we're programming Absolute Radio 20s, this station won't be included in the No Repeat Guarantee. There are also some other exceptions and circumstances beyond our control, which you can find on our No Repeat Guarantee page.

I’ve lost my password! Can you remind me what it is?

Well, no. We don't know what it is either, because we encrypt it. However we can send you a new password. Click the link on the Sign in window that says ‘reset your password’. When you receive your new password, log in and change it to something secure and memorable to you.

How do I provide feedback ?

In the first instance, please message us via our Contact page. We like hearing from our listeners whatever you've got to say, whether it's something you like, or equally, if you've heard something you're not so keen on.

If you hear something you think is wrong, please let us know. We’d like to help put things right. You can contact our Content Director via the Contact page and selecting 'Feedback on our Programmes' in the options.
