What is the event?

Absolute Radio Presents: 80s vs 90s is taking place at the iconic Electric Ballroom in Camden, London on Friday 30th June.

Two of the greatest decades go head-to-head in the ultimate DJ battle, featuring Absolute Radio presenters playing the very best dancefloor fillers from the 80s & 90s!

From 7pm to midnight, expect to hear hits from the likes of Madonna, Oasis, Depeche Mode, Blur, Kylie Minogue, Nirvana, The Clash, Pulp, Queen, Elastica, Prince, David Bowie and many, many more.

When is it?

The event is taking place on Friday 30th June.

What are the timings?

Doors open at 7pm with the event finishing at midnight.

Where is the event taking place?

At the Electric Ballroom, 184 Camden High St, London NW1 8QP.

How do I get there?

The nearest tube station is Camden Town which is a 3-minute walk away.

Camden Town is on the Northern Line and is 7 minutes from Kings Cross and 5 minutes from Euston.

If you prefer to arrive by road, these bus lines stop right by the venue: 134, 274, 29, 31, 88.

But rather than take it from us, it would probably be best to trust the travel experts and check with an official journey planning app or website before travelling.

When will I receive my tickets?

Your tickets will either be issued as e-tickets 1 week prior to the event or posted to you.

What’s your refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable.

What are the authorised ticketing agents?

We strongly recommend that you purchase your tickets through our official ticket agents, Universe and Fatsoma.

We cannot take responsibility for tickets purchased from any other outlets or re-sale sites.

Do you have to be over 18 to come?

Afraid so. This is an 18+ event and Camden Council operates on a strict no ID no entry policy no matter your age. So, ensure you have valid ID with you.

No refunds will be given for lack of ID on the day.

Will there be disabled access?

Can I bring my own food/drinks?

No food or drink can be brought into the venue, but Camden has plenty of food options available nearby. Discover some options here.

Can I take photos?

Sure! We just ask that you don’t bring any selfie sticks, professional camera equipment or cameras with a detachable zoom lens. Let’s leave that to the pros.

What if I have a problem during the event?

For any problems on the night, please find a member of venue staff who will be happy to help.

When do I have to be in the event by?

Last entry is 10.30pm.

Is there a cloakroom?

Yes, there will be a cloakroom. The price is £2 per item for small bags, backpacks, laptop cases and coats. Large bags or suitcases cannot be stored or taken into the venue. Please note that items are left in the cloakroom at your own risk.

Will there be searches in place?

The Electric Ballroom reserve the right to conduct security searches on entry and exit of the premises. This policy is in place to maintain the safety of our customers and to prevent illegal activity. Anybody found in possession of illegal or contraband goods may be liable for prosecution. Refusal to be searched may lead to ejection and indefinite exclusion from the premises.

Electric Ballroom operates a zero-tolerance policy with regards to illegal drugs. Anyone found to be taking or distributing illegal substances will be ejected and potentially reported to the authorities. If you need to bring medication to our venue, please contact us beforehand and bring a copy/picture of the prescription.

Can I come in and out of the event?

Once you’re in, you’re in! There's no readmission, so if you leave you will not be allowed back into the event.

What’s the dress code?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. But if you want to dress to impress, then dig out your best 80s and 90s attire for the ultimate decade battle!
