Sam Fender's meteoric rise to fame has gathered new pace today with the news that the recently announced Newcastle Arena show of his upcoming UK tour has sold out in minutes.

The North Shields born star - whose album debut album 'Hypersonic Missiles' shot straight to number one in the U.K album charts this month – recently revealed a massive Spring 2020 UK tour and fans have applied in their tens of thousands to try and secure tickets for his Newcastle show on April 3.

Reacting to today's record-breaking news for a North East artist, Steve Davis of SSD Concerts said of the Brit Awards Critics' Choice Award Winner for 2019: “Sam Fender's recent rise to stardom is no surprise to us. He's come a long way since busking at the Surf Café in Tynemouth to where he is now and we're all delighted for him.

“His album and tour campaign has been next level from his management, producer and his record label Polydor and it’s really exciting to see what is around the corner. The region should be proud of him and continue to support and push him forward.”

Sam - who is currently on tour in the United States in promotion of his breakthrough debut album - has enjoyed a whirlwind 12 months which has seen him receive global critical acclaim for his legion of loyal supporters, Geordie charm and anthemic hits such as 'Play God', 'Will We Talk,' and 'The Borders.'

And, having sold out four O2 Academy Newcastle dates in Newcastle earlier in the year, it seems the UK's arena circuit is ready to propel Sam to a whole new level.
