Blossoms joined Bush & Richie during the Hometime Show this evening (4th December) for a very special live performance for Absolute Radio’s Virtual Office Christmas Party.
Kicking off with Bastille’s sublime live set on Dave Berry’s Breakfast Show, Absolute Radio has been hosting a Virtual Office Christmas Party throughout today giving listeners the chance to win prizes (worth significantly more than a £5 Secret Santa) and breaking the usual Christmas Party DJ rule of no requests by hosting an All Request Guarantee from 10-4pm.
Stockport indie rockers Blossoms were the very special house band on Hometime with Bush & Richie, and typically they didn’t disappoint with their three-song set.
Blossoms performed their 2019 anthem ‘Your Girlfriend’, a great cover of Shakin’ Stevens’ 1985 festive classic ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ and their very own 2020 Christmas song ‘Christmas Eve (Soul Purpose)’.

Earlier today, Bastille’s performance kicked off with their summer 2020 anthem ‘What You Gonna Do???’ before they launched into fellow new track ‘Survivin’.
They then played a stunning stripped back medley of The Pretenders’ ‘2000 Miles’, ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ and ‘Feliz Navidad’, before concluding with their ubiquitous anthem ‘Pompeii’.
