To celebrate the release of their fervently awaited new single ‘Shot in the Dark’, AC/DC’s Angus Young and Brian Johnson will be interviewed by our resident AC/DC superfan Leona Graham this Wednesday on Absolute Radio.

After teasing us with a tantalising 30 second snippet last week, AC/DC announced today that their first new song in six years, ‘Shot in the Dark’, will finally be unleashed to the world on Wednesday 7th October.

Ben Burrell will play ‘Shot in the Dark’ first during the Absolute Radio Breakfast Show on Wednesday, before AC/DC guitarist Angus Young and vocalist Brian Johnson join Leona Graham for a chat throughout her show between 10am and 1pm.

Taking to social media at exactly 1pm today to announce the premiere of ‘Shot in the Dark, AC/DC shared a fresh 17-second video clip featuring behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot and culminating with what looks like the single artwork.

Alongside teasing the new album ‘PWR/UP’ and single ‘Shot in the Dark’, last Wednesday (30th September) AC/DC officially confirmed that Brian Johnson, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams are back in the band.

They shared a photo of their current line-up - Angus Young on lead guitar, Brian Johnson on vocals, Cliff Williams on bass, Phil Rudd on drums and Stevie Young on rhythm guitar - and the title of their new album ‘PWR/UP’.

Ever since Brian Johnson and Phil Rudd were spotted at Vancouver’s Warehouse Studios back in August 2018, speculation has been rife about their return and a new AC/DC album.

After photos of the current line-up ‘accidentally leaked’ on the band’s official website last month, AC/DC began teasing an announcement on Monday (28th September) by updating all of their profile images on their various social media platforms to their iconic lightning bolt logo.

A 10-second teaser video featuring the AC/DC lightning bolt as a neon light alongside the sound of a musical instrument plugging into an amplifier was also shared. On Tuesday (29th September), AC/DC launched a 'PWR/UP' website and another video.

AC/DC concluded the week on Friday by posting photos of ‘PWR UP’ posters around the globe and a neon light AC/DC logo on the banks of the River Thames.
