Arctic Monkeys' Matt Helders joins forces with 11-year-old Nandi Bushell
Nandi is teasing a mystery collaboration

Arctic Monkeys’ Matt Helders has recorded a mystery “jam” and interview with child drumming prodigy Nandi Bushell.
Hailing from Ipswich, 11-year-old Nandi Bushell has been wowing the internet for over three year with her enthusiastic, energetic and expert renditions of rock songs predominately on drums, but also on bass and guitar.
On Saturday (26th June), Nandi shared an Instagram Story featuring video footage of Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders leaving her home in Ipswich after the pair collaborated together.
“Thank you for coming, I had so much fun,” she told Helders, before captioning another video “Today was EPIC… Interview and Jam with @matthelders coming soon!!!”
Of course, Matt Helders isn’t the first person to collaborate with Nandi Bushell.
Last April, Nandi took part in a virtual drum battle with blink-182’s Travis Barker before beating Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl in a drum battle in October. Dave also recorded a Nandi Bushell theme song.
Rage Against The Machine axeman Tom Morello was so blown away by Nandi’s cover of ‘Guerrilla Radio’, he personally sent Nandi his signature Fender Stratocaster to keep.
Among the plethora of tracks she has performed are Green Day’s ‘Basket Case’, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Californication’, Queens of the Stone Age’s ‘No One Knows’, Led Zeppelin’s ‘Good Times Bad Times’, Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman’, Slipknot’s ‘Duality’, Pixies’ ‘Where Is My Mind?’ and Arctic Monkeys’ ‘Brianstorm.’
