Biffy Clyro announce short UK tour 'Fingers Crossed' for 2021

Biffy Clyro have announced a short UK tour for April 2021, after being forced to postpone their 2020 tour dates due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Dubbed the 'Fingers Crossed' tour, the band will perform at intimate venues in Liverpool, London, Cambridge, Sheffield, Southampton and Bristol. According to a post on the band’s website, they haven’t played at these venues in over a decade, making this a particularly special treat for Biffy fans.

With the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus pandemic, the newly- anointed Download headliners announced on their website, 'We’ve decided to announce a short run of dates at intimate venues for April 2021.

'These dates are not intended to replace the arena tour, but given the current uncertainty of large scale indoor arena shows in the UK, we feel they will give us the best chance to play live to our fans as soon as possible.'

The group also said that 'big announcements' for Scotland and Europe could be expected 'in the coming days'.

The band is expected to play fan favourites during the tour, as well as new tracks from their upcoming album, 'A Celebration of Endings'. Just a week ago, they released the third single from the album, 'Weird Leisure', which follows the release of ‘Instant History’ and ‘Tiny Indoor Fireworks.’

Fans who pre-order their latest album 'A Celebration of Endings' or who register on their official website before August 17 will receive access to a ticket pre-sale for this one-off tour.

Fans who have already pre-ordered or registered will automatically be granted access. The pre-sale will open from Wednesday 19th August ahead of the general sale, which commences on Friday 21st August.

To mark the release of their forthcoming album, Biffy are set to play a special livestreamed show from an unnamed iconic Glasgow venue, which is yet to be revealed, on August 15.
