The first official trailer for the third Bill & Ted movie 'Face The Music' has officially premiered – watch it below.

The follow-up to 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey once again sees actors Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprise their roles as lovable wannabe rock stars Ted ‘Theodore’ Logan and Bill S. Preston.

Bill & Ted Face The Music started filming in New Orleans in July 2019 and also sees William Sadler will reprise his role as Death with Brigette Lundy-Paine (as Billie Logan) and Samara Weaving (as Thea Preston) playing Bill and Ted's daughters.

The movie is due to be released in the UK on Friday 21st August 2020.

Sharing the teaser trailer, Warner Bros. Pictures wrote: “Whoa. The wait is finally over, dudes! Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter star in the first official trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music! Watch now! And remember: be excellent to each other.”

A plot synopsis for Bill & Ted Face The Music reads: “Yet to fulfil their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.”

When the project was first announced in 2018, Reeves and Winter said in a joint statement: “We couldn't be more excited to get the whole band back together again. Chris and Ed wrote an amazing script, and with Dean at the helm we've got a dream team!"

Bill & Ted Face the Music is directed by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest), from a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey) - and produced by Scott Kroopf, Alex Lebovici, and Steve Ponce.

Bill & Ted Face The Music:

The first two Bill & Ted movies featured songs from KISS, Megadeth, Faith No More, Steve Vai, Richie Kotzen, Extreme and many more.

Last month Mastodon let slip that they had recorded a song for the movie, however further details of the soundtrack have yet to be revealed.
