Richie Sambora open to reuniting with Bon Jovi for Glastonbury 2023

Richie Sambora says it’s a “possibility” he could reunite with Bon Jovi for a headline slot at Glastonbury Festival 2023.
63-year-old Sambora attended The Music Industry Trust Awards at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Monday night (7th November) when he was asked on the red carpet about the chances he’ll get back together with Bon Jovi for a Pyramid Stage headline slot next summer.
Sambora, who exited Bon Jovi after 30 years in 2013, refused to rule out a reunion with Jon Bon Jovi and co.
According to Metro, Sambora said with a ‘cheeky smile’ on this face: “It’s a possibility. We’re talking a bit.”
If Richie Sambora does reunite with Bon Jovi at Glastonbury, it will be his second performance at Worthy Farm after he joined Dolly Parton on stage in 2014 for her cover of ‘Lay Your Hands on Me.’
Enthusing about playing guitar with Dolly Parton, Sambora told Metro: “It was the first time I played Glastonbury but just playing with her was just tremendous. She’s a friend through other friends and she covered one of my songs.
“She’s a sweetheart and she’s that good. Consummate professional and she’s still here, what a legacy. Amazing.”
Alongside late bassist Alec John Such, Richie Sambora briefly reunited with Bon Jovi for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2018 performing ‘Livin' On A Prayer’, ‘You Give Love A Bad Name’ and ‘It's My Life’.
He told the Daily Mail in 2020 that he would unite with Bon Jovi in “special” circumstances.
"It would have to be a special situation for me to go back, but I'm certainly not counting it out,” Sambora said at the time. “I have no malice towards that band."
Richie’s comments came shortly after Jon Bon Jovi told Germany's Rock Antenne: "There's not a day that goes by that I don't wish that Richie had his life together and was still in the band.
“And yet, in a weird way, it's because of his inability to get it together anymore that we went on and wrote 'This House Is Not For Sale'."
