He sang on 'The Punk And The Godfather'
Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder made a surprise guest appearance at The Who’s second Royal Albert Hall concert in three days.
The Who kicked of the Teenage Cancer Trust at the Royal Albert Hall concert series on Monday in triumphant style, and they played a second orchestral show on Wednesday night (20th March).
Eddie Vedder is one of the guest artists scheduled to perform at the final night of the week-long concert series on Sunday, however he graced the world-famous Royal Albert Hall four days early to guest perform with his good pals The Who.
Described by Roger Daltrey as an “unconditional friend” of The Who, Vedder lent his trademark vocals a rendition of the ‘Quadrophenia’ track ‘The Punk And The Godfather’ while the band were flanked by The Heart of England Philharmonic Orchestra.

The final TCT concert on Sunday is called Ovation- A Celebration of 24 Years of Gigs For Teenage Cancer Trust, and it features Roger’s friends and fans, many of those who helped establish these gigs as a celebrated annual event.
Together with Eddie Vedder, Roger Daltrey and Pete Townsend will be joined by Robert Plant with Saving Grace, Paul Weller and Stereophonics vocalist Kelly Jones.
This week’s run of TCT shows at the fabled London venue have added gravitas as it’s Roger Daltrey’s last year as the curator and driving force of the event.
The 80-year-old Who vocalist has helped raise a massive £32 million over 24 trailblazing years, and he will continue as a Teenage Cancer Trust Honorary Patron.
