Foo Fighters have confirmed they will announce live dates in the UK soon.
As Foo Fighters fan site Foo Fighters UK has pointed out, there is a message on the band’s official webstore promoting their new album ‘But Here We Are’ revealing that UK concerts are on the horizon.
It reads: “Pre-order any format of 'But Here We Are' for pre-sale code access to forthcoming and soon-to-be-announced UK live dates.”
The sign-up form for pre-sale code access also has a similar message teasing upcoming UK live dates.
Foo Fighters will perform their first headline show since Taylor Hawkins’ death in March 2022 at Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion in New Hampshire on Wednesday 24th May.
Fans are still speculating who will play drums for Foo Fighters at their live shows, with The Darkness’ Rufus Taylor and Josh Freese among the names in the rumour mill.
Commenting on his son Rufus Taylor’s rumoured Foo Fighters gig, Queen drummer Roger Taylor told the BBC last month: "Well, he does play brilliantly with them. He knows all their stuff, knows them all very well.
“He did play ‘Best of You’ with the Foos, and it was phenomenal at Wembley, and at The Forum in LA. What exactly is happening now, I don’t know.”
Foo Fighters’ headline performances at Germany’s Rock am Ring on Friday 2nd June and Rock im Park on Sunday 4th June are Dave Grohl and co.'s only European shows of 2023.
Featuring the Absolute Radio playlisted lead single ‘Rescued’, Foo Fighters’ new album ‘But Here We Are’ is released on Friday 2nd June 2023.
A description of the album reads: ‘‘But Here We Are’ is the new album from Foo Fighters, and marks the bands return after a year of staggering losses, personal introspection and bittersweet remembrances.
‘A brutally honest and emotionally raw response to everything Foo Fighters have endured recently, ‘But Here We Are’ is a testament to the healing powers of music, friendship and family. Courageous, damaged and unflinchingly authentic, the album opens with ‘Rescued,’ the first of 10 songs that run the emotional gamut from rage and sorrow to serenity and acceptance, and myriad points in between.
‘‘But Here We Are’ is in nearly equal measure the 11th Foo Fighters album and the first chapter of the band’s new life. Sonically channelling the naivete of Foo Fighters’ 1995 debut, informed by decades of maturity and depth, ‘But Here We Are’ is the sound of brothers finding refuge in the music that brought them together in the first place 28 years ago, a process that was as therapeutic as it was about a continuation of life.’
