Johnny Marr announces double album 'Fever Dreams Pts 1-4'
He has also created a behind the scenes livestream

Johnny Marr will release his new double album 'Fever Dreams Pts 1-4' on Friday 25th February 2022.
The Smiths legend's fourth studio album contains 16 songs, and it's split into four chapters.
Johnny described the album, saying: "There’s a set of influences and a very broad sound that I’ve been developing - really since getting out of The Smiths until now, and I hear it in this record.
"There are so many strands of music in it. We didn’t do that consciously, but I think I’ve got a vocabulary of sound. And I feel very satisfied that I’ve been able to harness it.”
The album was created inside Johnny's custom built Crazy Face Factory studio over the last year, and he has created a livestream called 'Live At The Crazy Face Factory' to show his creative process and life in songwriting as well as live band performances from throughout his career.
'Live At The Crazy Face Factory' will be available worldwide and premieres on the 10th November 2021.
'Fever Dreams Pts 1-4' was written during the global pandemic, when the music icon had to take a look at his interior life. It explores a number of themes and concepts including the emotional and psychological states of others.
Johnny explains: "It’s an inspired record, and I couldn’t wait to get in and record every day. But I had to go inwards."
The long-player also takes a look at the future and the idea that hope endures even in difficult times.
It was created with Johnny's long-standing band, which is made up of co-producer Doviak, bassist Iwan Gronow, drummer Jack Mitchell, and features backing vocals throughout the album from singer-songwriter Meredith Sheldon. Primal Scream’s Simone Marie also plays bass on three of the songs.
'Fever Dreams Pts 1-4' will be available on CD and double vinyl, and fans can get exclusive limited edition white vinyl and cassettes, as well as merch and signed prints from the official store. Record stores such as HMV will also have limited edition turquoise vinyl pressing.
Following the album's release, Johnny Marr is the very special guest on Blondie's April and May 2022 UK arena tour. Tickets are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.

Johnny performed the music from his new album in September, and this was his first return to the stage since he performed at the 2020 BRIT Awards with Billie Eilish and Hans Zimmer.
The guitarist and singer is set to return to the stage again when he joins Blondie on their 'Against The Odds' headline tour in April and May 2022. He will also be joining The Killers on their headline US arena tour in August to October 2022.
