New Order announce autumn 2023 UK & Ireland arena tour
They play four dates as part of a European trek
New Order have announced a four-date UK & Ireland arena tour for autumn 2023.
The Manchester music legends will headline London’s The O2 on Friday 29th September before playing Dublin 3Arena, Glasgow OVO Hydro and Leeds First Direct Arena in the first week of October.
Alongside the UK & Ireland shows, New Order also play shows in Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Paris in September.
Tickets to New Order’s UK dates go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9.30am on Friday 14th April. Support comes from Confidence Man.
In January this year, the band released the Definitive Edition of their 1985 album Low-Life, followed by the 40th Anniversary of their iconic single Blue Monday on 7th March, releasing a range of merchandise available exclusively via their online store.
Despite being two separate bands, Joy Division and New Order have been nominated as one act for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook and Stephen Morris formed New Order in 1980 following the death of their Joy Division band mate Ian Curtis.
They’re nominated alongside Kate Bush, Iron Maiden, Soundgarden, Rage Against The Machine, George Michael, Missy Elliott, Sheryl Crow, Cyndi Lauper, Willie Nelson, The White Stripes, The Spinners, A Tribe Called Quest, and Warren Zevon.
The artists being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2023 will be announced in May, with the ceremony taking place in the autumn.
