The Charlatans announce massive 30th Anniversary UK & Ireland tour
They play 18 headline shows in November and December
The Charlatans will head out on a belated 30th Anniversary UK & Ireland Tour in November and December 2021.
Celebrating the indie legends’ 30-year recording history, the extensive 18-date trek opens at Belfast Limelight on Monday 22nd November 2021 and calls in at Dublin, Wrexham, Bristol, Birmingham, Bexhill, Bournemouth, Oxford, Cambridge, Manchester, Lincoln, Liverpool, Newcastle, London, Nottingham, Leeds and Glasgow before culminating at Aberdeen Music Hall five days before Christmas.
Tickets go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 10am on Friday 30th April 2021.
Preceding the lengthy headline tour, The Charlatans will release the career-spanning 6 vinyl LP Box Set called ‘A Head Full of Ideas’ on Friday 15th October 2021 on Then Recordings through Republic Of Music.
The limited-edition box set boasts a diverse collection of songs over five transparent blue vinyl LPs. Tracks include The Charlatans’ biggest hits, classic live performances, unheard demos and rarities and remixes from the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Norman Cook and Sleaford Mods.
Within the box will also be an exclusive Original Demos 7” featuring debut single ‘Indian Rope’ and breakthrough anthem ’The Only One I Know’.
There’s also a signed print of a tour poster from the early 90s, a booklet featuring unseen photographs and sleeve notes by friend and journalist Dave Simpson.
Alongside the 6LP collection, there will also be triple vinyl LP version and 2CD deluxe of the box set featuring the hits albums plus the live album, and finally a CD or vinyl of just the hits albums.
