A guitar amp signed by rock band The Cure is up for auction on eBay!

The amp was used by the band during their residency at Sydney’s Opera House in 2019 where as part of the Vivid Festival, The Cure celebrated the 30th anniversary of their eighth studio album ‘Disintegration’ by playing it in full.

The amp has been signed by all five current members of the band: Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Roger O’Donnell, Jason Cooper and Reeves Gabrels.

Proceeds from the sale of the piece of music memorabilia, which is a Line 6 Spider V 120 amp, will be in aid of charity Milk Crate Theatre.

The Milk Crate Theatre is based in Sydney and supports homeless people through workshops, theatre productions and community outreach.

In a statement on their website, the charity said, ‘Milk Crate Theatre uses performing arts to change the story of homelessness. We provide creative opportunities for participants to build confidence, skills and social connections to help make positive life changes.”

In December 2020, The Cure frontman supported out-of-work UK live events crew in a charity auction by signing a Schecter Ultracure guitar.
