About Emil Franchi
Emil started his radio career at Newcastle University Student Radio whilst studying there before moving to Staffordshire to present on Signal 1, Pulse 1 and The Wave. After 2 years there, Emil felt the pull of the motherland and moved back to his home county of Durham before taking up the reigns on Heart North East's Drivetime Show. Most recently you might've heard Emil on Radio 1.
Outside of radio Emil is a huge fan of his beloved Newcastle United. You may have caught him on the 'True Faith' Newcastle fanzine and podcast or seen him chatting to the very enthusiastic Toon Army on his post-match Fan Cam videos on YouTube.
He loves a Marvel film and will gladly challenge anyone to a game of Beat The Intro... watch out Glenn Moore!
