Trigger Happy TV returns this month
It will have new characters
The cult TV show that became a hit 16 years ago will be back for a mini series featuring the original star of the show Dom Joly.
According to industry magazine Broadcast Channel 4 have ordered a web mini series of eight episodes, six minutes long introducing new characters.
Despite rumours that the character with the giant mobile phone would be back with a giant smart phone, Dom tweeted earlier saying that it would be all new characters.
However he expressed his excitement about the programme on Twitter.
Talking about the mini series Dom said,
"I have wanted to bring Trigger Happy back for around seven years but was keen to do it in a different way.
"By doing it online we had more control and were given more time to make sure we had it working perfectly. We had a very small production team with a real gang spirit."
Matt Campion, Founder & Creative Director of Spirit Media has teamed up with Dom on the programme saying that the shorter format increases the show's pace, meaning the audience don't have time to to think between the scenes.
When the news broke about the new series people began to tweeting Dom asking about the music and he was quick to reasure fans that the music would be great.
