North United Communities provide services in three of the most dis-advantaged communities, Maryhill, Ruchill and Milton.

NUC provide a valuable service in Communities based in North Glasgow, which are ranked in the bottom 15% of the Scottish Multiple Deprivation Index, delivering services to meet the needs of children and families. They offer services using preventative and early intervention measures to families and young people with the provision of physical environments to promote healthy lifestyles. They provide opportunities to reduce social isolation, and for some parents and young people from those disadvantaged communities reduce discrimination and stigma – enabling access to activities that enhance well-being in terms of health and attitude.

We were delighted to launch Mission Christmas from one of the North United Communities centres. Greigsy dropped in to surprise Joan and the team with a Christmas grant of £2,000 which will be used during the Christmas holidays to ensure local children have access to hot meals and are able to participate in fun activities and make memories. The team were absolutely overwhelmed and absolutely over the moon!
