On Tuesday 29th August, ASDA colleagues from across Glasgow and the West and Ayrshire came along to Dullatur Golf Club to show off their swing at the ASDA and AG Barr golf day.

The 15 teams of golfers tee'd of at 10:30 and made their way around the course of 18 holes competing against each-other to be the golf champions of the day.

Grace and Siana from Cash for Kids, manned hole 1, which was the dedicated 'Cash for Kids competition hole'. Golfers donated £10 to Cash for Kids and used childrens clubs to try and get nearest to the pin and win a 4-ball. Only 3 golfers out of 60 managed to get on the green with Jason Nish of ASDA Kilmarnock picking up the prize!

Golfers were then treated to a much needed hot meal, juice courtesy of AG Barr and tablet from Camerons Tablet. George Bowie of Clyde 1 very kindly came along to draw and hand out raffle prizes and get the auction underway.

It was our pleasure to award George Robertson, Community Liaison GSM, with a platinum disc for his support over the years. George has helped put on a number of fundraising events throughout the years and will be retiring this week.

Regardless of a couple of rain showers, it was a fantastic day which raised an incredible total of £11,801.
