Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick Bond Ball

The 007 ball raised a fantastic total of £24,993.

On Friday 2nd June, Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick held their annual ball in aid of Clyde Cash for Kids at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. This year, the team put on a fabulous 007 Bond theme, with red and black table decor, a red carpet on arrival and light up martini glasses at the centre of each table.

The evening started out with a drinks reception in the upper tier of the museum before guests were led down to their tables with Bond themed music playing in the background. Host, Greigsy of Clyde 1, got the evening started by encouraging the guests to take part in a game of 'Hit or Miss'.

After hearing from Regional Charity Manager for Cash for Kids, Debbie Fraser, we were delighted to present Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick's Managing Director, Simon Lafferty, with a Gold Corporate Patron Disc in recognition of their support in 2016. We were then treated to a fabulous performance by Jim Diamond Award winner, Matthew Gibb before dinner. Once our stomachs were lined, a Shirley Bassey tribute act entertained us with renditions of Big Spender and Diamonds are Forever, to name a few.

Auctioneer, Willie Paterson brought silence upon the room to auction fabulous items including a low serial number £5 note, table for 10 at the Cash for Kids lunch, Glasgow in the Sky dining experience and 4-ball at Belfry golf course. The guests then partied into the small hours to T-Junction.

We were delighted with the response to our main auction and raffle as well as all of the kind donations which were placed within sign a note envelopes. The total raised on the evening was £24,993, which will go a long way in supporting the most vulnerable children in Glasgow and the West. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick and efforts they put into arranging the annual ball.
